The select few 
Coven members who eclipsed all others in their fields are notorious under the title of “enlightened.” Geniuses, beacons of dedication and intellect that cemented the reputation of the Coven. They are rumored to have engaged in several pacts with the knowledge-devouring God despite most mortals shuddering at the thought of scrying this much into the Unseen Depths.
Being the most intimidating weapons of the faction, they are also the least reliable. Out of the few living enlightened, none value positions of leadership within the Coven. Their whereabouts are vague, living secluded from populated areas. Dedicating themselves to their research. Assessing the full extent of their skills and pushing boundaries. The few occurrences of enlightened imparting some of their discoveries to their peers brought forth immense advancements. Furthermore, the Last Church suffered great losses at the receiving end of their powers. If only they were to join forces, they could move mountains and shepherd civilization into a new age. However, that would be taking for granted the remaining sanity of the enlightened.
